Tourism is one sector that contributes significantly to the economy and revenue of a nation. There is no destination left in the world that has not attracted tourists. Beaches, hill stations, historical monuments, picturesque landscapes, lakes, etc. are the key reasons that attract tourists. With globalization facilitating international trade, business meets have become a humdrum affair. To meet both leisure and business tourists’ demand for a convenient and comfortable stay, Luxury Hotels as well as Cheap Hotels have cropped up in the cities.

When online booking destinations are there, booking a hotel instantly is an easy affair. Once you plan your trip, you can book a hotel as well as flights tickets online. There are numerous travel portals that will serve your booking purpose. Before booking a hotel, you can take an online visit to cheap hotels or luxury hotels or even an Airport Hotel according to your preferences; you can compare facilities and rates, and depending on your budget, you can then book a hotel instantly and receive an electronic receipt via the printer. Finding cheap hotels is effortless online.

An Airport Hotels is located close to the airport. If you are to take a connecting flight with a gap of a day and utilize the gap for a business meet, you won’t prefer staying in a hotel located at the heart of the city. Traffic jams and the time taken to commute from the heart of the city to the airport may prove hectic for you. In that case you can choose an airport hotel. Most business travelers prefer staying in an airport hotel. Facilities in luxury hotels and an airport hotel are almost same. Almost all luxury hotels are equipped with spas which lets you discover your inner self by being pampered with holistic natural healing treatments.

Great Manchester Airport Hotels Deals: Altrincham Lodge

January 2nd, 2010

So, do you need to choose from among the many Manchester hotels in Manchester, UK? Traveling on holiday? For personal or family reasons? For business? Whatever the case, out of all the hotels in Manchester, why not try out one of the fine Manchester airport hotels? I love these and think that they are the best deal for most people.

If you check into one of the Manchester airport hotels for your trip, you will actually be awake and refreshed in the morning even before apre -dawn flight. You won’t have to worry about needing to skip breakfast, that’s for certain. You can check in for your flight or your room at your leisure, and you won’t have to worry over or fight with the Manchester motorway traffic jams or the dreaded rush hour.

Have your accommodations and your flight right there in the same place or conveniently close together. Even if you do look over the other Manchester hotels in favor of one of these airport lodgings, you will won’t be far from Manchester city centre and all of its attractions.

Now, are there any out of these airport hotels in Manchester that I would strongly recommend? Yes, several–but one that stands out in my mind for those of us who may want the convenience of one of the Manchester airport hotels but perhaps cannot afford any of those that are right there within or next to the terminals is the Altrincham Lodge and Parking at Manchester Airport.

This is the least expensive of all of the Altrincham Lodge locations. While it is not right on the airport site, you are still only five miles and 15 minutes by car or bus away from your flight. This location still allows you to enjoy apre-flight breakfast and avoid the wicked traffic if you must.

One of my favorite features of this hotel is its 15 day parking package. The Lodge’s parking package secures 15 nights of car parking with a night’s stay. This is one of the finest parking deals to be found at any of the Manchester hotels that you might look into, be they airport hotels or city centre hotels.

What this means for you is that our vehicle is allowed to be parked at the secure Manchester Airport parking lot just opposite the airport terminal and only a short drive from the Lodge as I said. Now does that sound convenient and stress-free or what?

The Altrincham Lodge itself is a nice budget lodge with a mixture of quaint charm and modern conveniences, including today’s all-important free wireless Internet service. One thing that the hotel does not skimp on is service. The staffers are friendly and discreet, and seem to sincerely enjoy their jobs. The rooms are not elaborate but they are quite clean and cozy.

So, should you decide to heed my advice and look to airport hotels when you have to select from among the many hotels in Manchester, if you want the economical choice in Manchester hotels while being close to the airport, check out theAltrincham Lodge. But there are other Manchester airport hotels that are even closer, if you have a bigger wallet.

November 26th, 2009

You’ve booked your flights, organised a rental car, and secured coveted tickets to the matches. Everything’s in place for your upcoming trip to Cape Town – except your hotel accommodation. If you’re travelling to South Africa for the highly anticipated World Cup soccer event in 2010, there’s not much time left to book your hotel accommodation. Nonetheless, it’s a wise idea to secure your 2010 Cape Town hotel accommodation in advance. Cape Town is fast gearing up to host several important World Cup matches in 2010. The city’s brand new stadium takes pride of place Greenpoint, a vibrant, cosmopolitan area close to the City Bowl, which features impressive views of Table Mountain. Ideally, soccer fans from South Africa and abroad are hoping to stay in close proximity to the stadium, which has been built to accommodate up to 70,000 spectators per match.

The streets of Cape Town are set to be inundated with excited soccer fans and ardent supporters during the World Cup. Thus, those who book their accommodation early will benefit from securing lodgings close to the stadium, and will be able to avoid the inevitable delays and traffic jams on match days. Of course, staying right next door to the stadium may also not be ideal. While it’s fantastic to get caught up in the excitement and passion during the matches, you’ll probably want to retreat to a calmer setting after long days of soccer mania! Staying close to the stadium, but within enough distance to escape the craziness, will be a great relief on match days.

Autumn Breaks

October 20th, 2009

Autumn is a great time of year to take a break, after the crowds of the summer season, the traffic jams to popular destinations and the promise of long hot sunny days not quite living up to our expectations.  At least with Autumn you know where you are, you can guarantee that the visitor numbers will be lower than summer, that the leaves will definitely be turning their beautiful golds and russets, and you may just get some decent dry weather.

If you’re planning on getting away for an Autumn break, there are many places to visit that in fact are at their best during the Autumn season.  Getting out into the rolling countryside where fields have been prepared for their winter crops and stretch for miles like big brown canvasses, surrounded by hedgerows and bushes that are about to berry, providing a constant food source for the non-migrating bird population.

Equally, an Autumn break to the coast can be just as special.  The chance to visit your favourite stretch of coast without the summer crowds, and the chance to walk along the shoreline without interrupting the masses of summer swimmers and sunbathers and children playing by the water’s edge.

There is something quite magical about visiting the coast out of season, and the Suffolk Coast is no exception.  Although a very popular destination at all times of the year, particularly in the summer, the Autumn gives you the chance to see the towns and villages return to their more sedate pace and their regular patterns return, the fishermen fetching their daily catch, the tea-rooms not selling out of your favourite homemade cakes and the antique shops and boutiques less crowded.

Generally, the hotels are a lot quieter at this time of year too, which also means that you can often pick up a good deal.  One such hotel that is situated quite literally on the beach in Suffolk is the Brudenell Hotel in Aldeburgh, a small traditional fishing town that has retained it’s original quaintness. The Brudenell Hotel can be found at the southern end of the promenade that stretches the complete length of the town, and offers stunning coastal views from just about every window.  An AA*** hotel with 42 bedrooms, some with the best sea views around, and a panoramic restaurant overlooking the sea as well as terrace dining, a perfect destination for an Autumn break where you can sit back and relax in a haven of tranquillity.

Lisa Lincoln works in the hotel industry. She has been writing about hotel accommodation in Suffolk for couple of years and likes writing about beachside hotel in Suffolk.
